FAQ's FIELD TRIPS

Q:  What is the cost and what does it include?

A:  The cost is $8 per person. Teachers are free: one teacher per 20 students. All the Farm Funland activities are included in the $8.00 fee. Parents paying at the gate will pay $12 admission.

Q:  What days of the week do you have field trips?

A:  We schedule field trips Tuesday-Fridays. Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Q: What is the minimum number of students required to make a reservation?

A: We require a minimum of 70 paid guests to book a reservation. This allows us to properly staff for your field trip. If you have less than 70, please choose any Friday date or you are welcome to book a reservation on a Tuesday – Thursday date that already has a confirmed reservation scheduled. Call or email and we will schedule you with another confirmed reservation.

Q:  What is there is threatening weather?

A:  If we close the Farm due to weather you will be notified via the contact cell number on file by 7:30 a.m. on the morning of the event. If you are not notified by 7:30, you can assume that your event will take place as scheduled. We are a working farm and subject to weather conditions. Should we receive rain accumulation the days prior to your event date and the grounds are too muddy, we could possibly be forced to close the Farm. We cannot safely operate our equipment in the mud. You can reschedule your field trip for another date (reservation requests an alternate date, or “rain-out” date). We understand the complexity of planning a field trip (bus schedules, issuance of check, parental notification, etc.) and will do our utmost to consider these issues when making our decision to close. Our first responsibility, of course, is to provide for the safety of your students. Communication during the days prior to the event is the key to successfully managing the weather event.

Q:  Do you offer educational presentations?

A: Yes.  We offer 20 minute (approximate) animal presentations daily at 10:30 a.m. and again at 11:30 a.m.

Q:  Do you have a planned agenda for the students?

A:  No. You are encouraged to let the students enjoy the fun on the Farm and are free to flow through the activities with your class. Teachers/Chaperones are expected to supervise students at all times.

Q:  Do you provide food?

A:  No. You can bring a lunch to enjoy at any of our many picnic tables. Plan on bringing enough water for the children....they will be thirsty. We do sell bottled water, cold drinks for $1.00.

Q:  Do you have restroom facilities?

A: Yes. We provide air conditioned, handicap accessible, separate men, women and family restrooms.

Q:  Can we pay with a credit card?

A:  Yes. We accept major credit cards.
